Pop Quiz...
I have used this title before, but I think I have been issued a pop quiz...
Have you ever tried to handle something on your own and think you have all your bases covered. I mean every base and to top it all off you put it on your "prayer" list even though you have the bases covered. It is almost like you give God the ball on a tee and all HE has to do is swing the bat and it will go out of the park. It is a total home run for God it would be a total win. I would be able to praise God for the out come and those praying for it would be able to see God come through....
I have to laugh at my predicament... My wife and I are fulfilling a dream.... We are building a house..... I never in my wildest dream thought I would ever be in a position to build a house, but the paper work is processed, our loan is approved.... It is a done deal. Right? Well the problem is I own a home and it has been for sale for 6 months with not one single offer. So my wife and I fired our original realtor and hired a new one, with a guaranteed buy out program. Wow... If they do not sell our house when our new one is built they will buy it. Great every base is covered... Game on...
Well the problem is the offer they gave us will cost us $10,000 and I do not mean profit, I mean we would have to pay $10,000. Ok God I get your point...
I was more than stressed to hear the new that we would have to pay $10,000, but I unlike most times I went to the Lord in prayer and asked HIM to take this from me. I am way too small to handle this. The funny thing about God's quizzes is you never know if you pass, only God knows the answer. Well my wife and I have decided to not do the guarantee buy out and pray... I mean really pray that our house sells. We will get our $250 back since we will not be doing the buy out program and we have decided to give it to the Church.
God... I am sorry I have tried to do this on my own and I know now that it is only YOU who gives. I only have because you have given... I know that if for some reason we do not sell our house we are not meant to be in the new house. We would be out thousands of dollars, but I am willing to put my trust in the Lord that God knows better than I and to be honest it is scary. I pray that you give me what I need in times of doubt and unrest. I thank you for all you have done and will do for me... Amen.
